Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and thoughtful Product Designer who is excited about building meaningful digital experiences in education. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product, engineering, curriculum, and research teams to design intuitive, impactful products for educators, students, and families. You will own design problems end-to-end—from discovery to delivery—while advocating for user needs and high design standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality user experiences across web and mobile applications
- Create detailed storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas
- Participate in user research and engage directly with educators, coordinators, and school leadership to understand real-world challenges
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and deliver the right MVP
- Contribute actively to design reviews by giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Develop a deep understanding of all product surfaces (Web app, Educator app, Family app, Student app) and identify opportunities for improvement
- Own and lead the design of features and initiatives from concept to launch
- Advocate for user needs and ensure design decisions align with product strategy and company vision
- Mentor and coach team members as the design team grows
- Support hiring efforts by participating in interviews and talent evaluation (over time)
Skills and Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience designing digital products for web and mobile
- Formal education or training in design (UX, UI, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or related fields)
- Strong proficiency in Figma
- Experience across the full product design lifecycle—from problem definition to visual and interaction design
- Ability to differentiate between “good” and “great” design
- Excellent organisational, collaboration, and communication skills
- Optimistic mindset with openness to new ideas and ways of working
- Prior experience designing SaaS or B2B products is a plus
- Interest in education and designing for learning environments is highly desirable
