Job Title: Branch Relationship Officer (BRO)

Salary: As per industry standards + incentives (based on performance and cross-sell targets)

Eligibility:

  • Graduation/Post-Graduation from a recognized institute
  • Local language proficiency, along with English communication skills
  • Basic understanding of banking products and customer handling preferred

Role Overview

Branch Relationship Officers act as the face of the bank for customers at the branch. They are responsible for providing financial solutions, offering services to existing and new-to-bank (NTB) customers, cross-selling bank products, and ensuring smooth customer transactions. The role is central to driving customer engagement, deposit mobilization, and promoting alternative banking channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire new customers through referrals, customer visits, and marketing activities.
  • Engage with existing customers to build relationships, mobilize deposits, and cross-sell banking/third-party products (Life insurance, General insurance, Mutual Funds, Loans, etc.).
  • Process customer transactions and service requests accurately within the defined TAT.
  • Handle customer queries, provide effective solutions, and ensure complaint resolution.
  • Educate customers on alternate banking channels such as Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, and WhatsApp Banking.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in the bank’s CRM system.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines (KYC, AML, etc.) and meet audit requirements.
  • Participate in bank-driven initiatives, campaigns, and mandatory learning/training programs.
  • Achieve business and sales targets consistently every month.

  • High attention to detail in handling transactions and documentation
  • Good verbal and written communication in English and the local language
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Networking and relationship-building capability

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Banking regulations and compliance norms (KYC, AML, etc.)
  • Awareness of retail banking products and services

Mandatory Certifications (if applicable):

  • EUIN, SP Certification, and other mandatory certifications as required by the bank
