Eligibility:

Role Overview:

The IBDP Visual Arts Textbook Author will be responsible for planning, authoring, reviewing, and refining a comprehensive textbook aligned with the IB Diploma Programme Visual Arts curriculum. The role involves syllabus mapping, content development, assessment alignment, examiner-report analysis, and collaboration with reviewers to create an academically rigorous and exam-focused resource that exceeds existing market offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benchmark existing IB Visual Arts textbooks to identify content gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyse examiner reports, subject reports, and assessment data to identify common student misconceptions and performance challenges.
  • Map the complete Visual Arts syllabus and maintain comprehensive coverage tracking for SL and HL requirements.
  • Design detailed chapter structures incorporating assessment preparation, command terms, DP core integration, visual examples, and critical analysis.
  • Draft, edit, and refine textbook chapters in accordance with agreed templates and quality standards.
  • Develop dedicated sections focused on assessment requirements, portfolio development, comparative study, and process portfolio expectations.
  • Ensure content aligns with IB assessment criteria, past papers, and mark schemes.
  • Conduct final content reviews to verify syllabus coverage and academic accuracy.
  • Participate in weekly review meetings and collaborate closely with Toddle's curriculum and editorial teams.
  • Incorporate reviewer feedback and revisions throughout milestone-based development cycles.
