Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Product Engineer to help build intuitive, scalable, and delightful experiences for teachers, students, and parents. In this role, you will contribute to designing, developing, and deploying high-quality backend systems while collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and educators.

This position offers hands-on ownership, continuous technical growth, and deep product exposure in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend features and services
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, QA, and Support teams to deliver high-quality product features
• Write clean, modular, maintainable, and optimized code
• Participate in feature development, production bug fixes, and performance improvements
• Perform query writing, optimization, and database migrations
• Contribute to code reviews and uphold engineering best practices
• Support releases and provide post-release troubleshooting when needed
• Share technical knowledge and contribute to improving engineering processes

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience with Node.js, Express, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with Git, Knex, and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• Experience with scripting and data analysis tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills with a learning mindset
• Ability to write readable, maintainable, and scalable code
• Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, etc.)
• Experience with background jobs, queues, and workers
• Exposure to additional data stores such as Redis, ClickHouse, or Elasticsearch
• Basic understanding of React and Apollo Client
• Product mindset with empathy for end users and strong collaboration skills
• Prior experience in SaaS or product-based companies

Eligibility

• Education: B.E / B.Tech degree
• Experience: 1–3 years of relevant work experience (SaaS experience preferred)
• Soft Skills: Bias toward action, empathy for users, good communication skills, and a sense of design
