Role Overview
As a Data Engineer – BI Analytics & DWH, you will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and robust data pipelines that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. You will work on ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and data warehousing while enabling analytics and reporting through BI visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
ETL / ELT Development
- Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL and ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar orchestration frameworks
- Ensure reliable ingestion of data from multiple source systems into centralized data warehouses and data lakes
- Design relational and dimensional data models aligned with business and analytics requirements
- Develop and maintain data schemas in data lakes or data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Postgres
- Optimize data models for reporting and analytical performance
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
- Perform data transformations, aggregations, and joins to support analytical workloads
- Provide support for dashboards and reports using visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and warehouse jobs for performance and reliability
- Implement basic data quality checks and validations to ensure accuracy and consistency of data
Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills:
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering with ETL/ELT development
- Strong SQL skills with experience in databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake, or Redshift
- Experience with cloud-based data services and tools (AWS S3, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Lambda, etc.)
- Working knowledge of data serialization formats like JSON, Parquet, and CSV
- Basic to intermediate Python skills for scripting and data manipulation
Preferred / Good to Have:
- Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience supporting analytics and reporting use cases
- Familiarity with data lakes and modern cloud data architectures
