Job Title: AWS Service Desk Engineer

Location: Remote – India (Work from Home)

Role Type: Full-Time (24x7 rotational shifts)

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Prior experience in AWS Cloud Operations or Technical Support.
  • AWS Associate Certification (required within 90 days of hire).

Role Overview:

As a Service Desk Engineer, you will be part of a global 24x7x365 Cloud Operations team supporting AWS infrastructure. You will monitor, manage, and resolve incidents, ensuring system uptime and optimal performance. This role demands strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to deliver world-class customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor alerts and incidents through tools like New Relic, CrowdStrike, and BigPanda.
  • Contribute to overall customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Administer and monitor AWS services — EC2, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.
  • Follow change management processes for updates or configurations.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and knowledge base.
  • Stay current with AWS technologies and emerging best practices.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews and implement process improvements.
  • Support internal training, documentation, and automation initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience managing AWS Cloud Workloads (EC2, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch).
  • Basic Linux and Windows administration skills.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (New Relic, CrowdStrike, BigPanda).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in English communication (written and verbal).
  • AWS Certified Associate (mandatory within 90 days of joining).
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
