Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.

Role Overview: The Automation Engineer will drive the design, evaluation, and implementation of advanced automation solutions across the logistics network. The role focuses on improving system reliability, enhancing throughput, reducing operational costs, and increasing machine longevity through innovation in sorting, material handling, and warehouse automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Scouting: Identify emerging automation, robotics, and control technologies for innovation and cost efficiency.
• Vendor Evaluation: Assess multiple automation vendors on performance, reliability, maintenance, and ROI to recommend optimal solutions.
• System Design & Innovation:
• Design integrated automation systems to improve throughput and sorting accuracy.
• Develop warehouse layouts using CAD tools to optimize manpower and material flow.
• Breakdown RCA: Perform root cause analysis for machine/part failures to prevent recurrence and improve equipment reliability.
• Cost Optimization: Identify areas to reduce maintenance and operational expenses without affecting performance.
• Machine Longevity: Recommend operational and design enhancements to extend equipment life.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in automation warehouse design, robotics, or material handling systems.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, conveyors, and cross-belt sorters.
• Analytical, cost-focused, and design-driven approach.
• Hands-on troubleshooting skills with a strong problem-solving mindset.
