Eligibility: Possessing or pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar research-focused field, research aligned with NLP, LLMs, Speech, Generative AI, Machine Translation, or Safety AI

Role Overview

In this role, you will build and deploy cutting-edge NLP, speech, and generative AI systems at a global scale—impacting hundreds of millions of users interacting across text, voice, and immersive 3D environments. You will work on systems powering safety, moderation, translation, and AI-driven creative tools. The position blends advanced research, large-scale engineering, and production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement deep learning-based NLP, speech, and generative models for platform-wide applications
  • Develop and train large models, including LLMs, machine translation systems, and content generation models
  • Own ML solutions end-to-end—from research and prototyping to training, deployment, and monitoring
  • Play a technical leadership role in model architecture, experimentation strategy, and model optimization for scale

Skills and Qualifications

  • PhD (or in-progress) in CS, ML, NLP, Statistics, or related field
  • Expertise in one or more of:
  • NLP / LLMs
  • Speech Recognition or Speech Models
  • Machine Translation
  • Generative AI (e.g., diffusion or multimodal models)
  • Experience publishing in top-tier conferences (ACL, EMNLP, ICML, NeurIPS, Interspeech, etc.)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Go, or Java
  • Understanding of distributed / large-scale ML system design
