Eligibility:

• PhD/MTech/BE/BTech/MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field
• Minimum 6 years of industrial experience in building and deploying solutions in Search, NLP, Machine Learning, and Predictive Analytics

Role Overview

The primary focus of this role is to lead and manage applications involving Search Systems, Taxonomy, Ontology, and ML-driven data models that define and enhance customer search experience across large product repositories. The role requires a balance of hands-on technical expertise, team leadership, and cross-functional program management, with exposure to cutting-edge AI/ML solutions.

You will lead a team of search engineers, collaborate with stakeholders across loan, insurance, and investment product domains, and design scalable AI/ML solutions for optimizing indexing, retrieval, analytics, and customer data quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of search indices for large document repositories and optimize query performance.
• Build and standardize tags, taxonomy, thesaurus, and ontology models to structure and improve the search experience.
• Analyze website metrics and customer behavior data to refine and optimize search models.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives with product owners, engineers, and designers to deliver scalable search/data solutions.
• Design and implement machine learning–driven solutions, integrating models into enterprise systems.
• Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) for validating AI/ML approaches.
• Collaborate with vendors/partners in technical capacity for solution delivery.
• Stay updated with the latest research in AI/ML and design innovative prototypes for next-generation products.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in machine learning, NLP, Computer Vision, Speech Analytics, and data modeling.
• Manage DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure for scalable data science deployments.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong programming experience in Python, Java, Scala; scripting in Shell/Perl.
• Expertise in Search technologies (Lucene, Elasticsearch, Solr).
• Experience with statistical/ML frameworks (Python, R, SAS, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Web Services, JSON, Single Sign-On, and token-based authentication.
• Knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with DevOps (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Gradle), CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes) and distributed computing (Spark).
