Role Overview

The Cloud Infrastructure Security Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust security controls across Cepheid’s cloud environments. The role ensures strong protection of sensitive data, adherence to compliance frameworks, and alignment of cloud security best practices across teams. The specialist will collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into all stages of the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce cloud security policies and standards.
• Configure and manage IAM, encryption, and network security controls.
• Integrate security practices and tools into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams.
• Monitor cloud environments using AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and SIEM tools.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and drive remediation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

Skills and Qualifications

Must-Have:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud security.
• Strong expertise in IAM, encryption mechanisms, network security, and cloud compliance.
• Experience with AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and SIEM solutions.
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and architecture principles.

Preferred:

• AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments.
